We didn't waste any time using our art for greater purposes. After taking an art assessment test, we decorated brown paper bags for Kid's Food Basket. We also started to make book marks for the Students Rebuild Literacy Challenge. To find out more about the Literacy Challenge: What a great 1st week! It's awesome to be back in the art room with all the young artists and creative minds. Over the summer, we added artwork to the newly painted hallways. Come check out our young professional artwork on the walls! We got right to business in the art room! In third and fourth grade we talked about how creativity extends past the artroom and it's ok to let go and get creative. We drew blind contours of each other, and our drawings looked a little funny. We added a friend's drawing to our own and made it one whole piece. In kindergarten- 2nd grade we also talked about how creativity happens in our everyday life. Art can be about us and a community, so we traced out hands to make one whole starburst. |
