4th grade started clay! pictures coming soon.
Kindergarteners read the story 'The Lion and the Mouse.' This story had no words, but we could understand the story through pictures. They created their own lion with colored pencils and paint. 1st graders are learning about Kente Cloths from Ghana. We will be weaving our own Kente cloths next week. 2nd grade completed their own stories using only pictures. Now we are working on a project inspired by Faith Ringgold, who wrote the story, 'Tar Beach.' She is known for her story quilts. We will be making 'quilts' of our own. 3rd grade artists are creating weavings inspired by Navajo Native Americans. 4th grade artists are completing their Op Art work. Their pieces create optical illusions. |
